The region’s industrial wood construction companies and the Itäpuu project invite everyone to learn about local companies and enjoy the afternoon together with various activities.

Arhippa Perttunen Symposium 6:00–7:30 PM, Juminkeko.
“Arhippa as a Singer of Lyric Songs.”
Dr. of Music Pekka Huttu-Hiltunen will give a lecture on the differences between lyric and epic songs, with live singing examples. The styles of poetry are both inspiring and diverse, each with its own unique way of moving people.
You are warmly welcome to enjoy the lecture and musical performances. Tea will be served!

Doors open at 1:30 PM at Kuhmo-talo.
Program and activity stations for kids in the lobby (free entry).
Café Juttua open during the whole event.
Mehiläinen’s Teddy Bear Hospital will be present—bring a teddy bear or stuffed toy that needs medical care!
Children’s band MIMMIT performs at 3:00 PM (concert ticket €5, free for MLL members).

  • “Wall Breakers” Musical 6:30 PM, Kuhmo-talo. Tickets €9.50.
    No intermission.
    A musical by Kuhmo Upper Secondary School about two youths who meet in the wrong place and clash with authority. A story of love, longing, defiance, and music composed for the show. With a punk aesthetic, the musical premieres in Lentua Hall, Kuhmo-talo.

  • Night Café from 7:00 PM for 7th graders and older. Free entry.
    At Youth Center Yläkerta. Organized by Kuhmo Youth Services.

SAT 10.5.

  • Mother’s Day Cake Course for Youth.
