BACKCOUNTRY BASE

A spacious and versatile base located in the remote areas of Kuhmo, in Iivantiira. Although not situated by the water, a rowboat and trailer are available for use. The location is peaceful, making it ideal as a base for wilderness travel and nature activities.

The main building of the farm was built in 1961 and has been fully renovated and updated. The living room has a pull-out bed, one bedroom has a double bed, and another bedroom has two single beds. There is a sauna, a bathroom with a toilet, a separate toilet, and an entrance hall. A small covered porch is also included.

The property features a yard sauna with a steam room and dressing room. The sauna is heated with a wood stove that also has a water heating tank. For a dog, there is an enclosure and a doghouse. The yard includes a cattle barn, a tool shed, and a lean-to shelter.

The premises are rented to a cattle farmer who visits daily to care for the animals (cattle).
