RAATESALMI CABIN, WILDERNESS CAMP

Located 35 km east of Sotkamo and 35 km west of Kuhmo, on the shore of Lake Aittojärvi (20 m from the cabin). The lake is 6 km long and 1 km wide. The shore is very shallow with a firm sandy bottom and reed-covered areas. A private boat and a 2.5 hp motor are available (fuel must be brought by the guest).

The round-log cabin was built in 1975 and renovated in 2015. Inside the main room, there is a pull-out camp bed. The sauna includes a wood-fired stove and a water heating tank, with a dressing room and a porch. The sauna is equipped with a pump for lake water, but drinking water must be brought by the guest.

Lighting is provided by LED lamps and candles.
