Miniature model of Kuhmo
The miniature model of Kuhmo depicts the area of the village on the eve of Perttuli on August 26, 1939, at 2:30 PM. The residents of Kuhmo had their own holidays, of which Perttuli was one. At that time, people gathered at the center from all parts of the parish. The mail bus arrived at the village, and the Kuivala bus departed for Murtoperä at 2:30 PM.
The village council had approved a grid plan in 1906, which defined the main streets to be 16 meters wide and the cross streets to be 12 meters wide. The surrounding church lands were incorporated into the plan. In the fall of 1939, approximately 750 people lived in the village.
The miniature model was built by the Kuhmo Local Heritage Association.
