Newsletter and Register for Holiday Home Owners

The holiday home owners’ newsletter is sent annually to all owners of holiday homes whose address is known to the City of Kuhmo. Holiday home owners can voluntarily provide their email address using an online form to receive the newsletter electronically, or notify the city if they do not wish to receive it.

The newsletter provides holiday home owners with information about city services and encourages them to take part in various events and activities in Kuhmo. It also aims to encourage holiday home owners to participate in the development of the City of Kuhmo. Involving seasonal residents in the development of the city is considered increasingly important.

Holiday Home Maintenance Services

If you need services for your holiday home, such as crushed rock, firewood, chimney sweeping, replacement of an exterior door lock, or other maintenance work, you can contact the holiday home maintenance service. Care4U also offers fire extinguisher inspections and servicing.

Drinking Water Points

Drinking water is available at the following locations:

• City maintenance depot, Tervatie 3. The water point is located on the Tervatie side of the building. Water is available 24 hours a day, all year round.
• K-Supermarket, Torikatu 24, 88900 Kuhmo. Tel. 040 829 8890. The water point is located on the wall to the left of the main entrance.
• S-market, Kainuuntie 123, 88900 Kuhmo. Tel. 010 763 6580. The water point is located in the entrance area by the main entrance.
• St1 Kuhmo, Kainuuntie 122, 88900 Kuhmo. Tel. 040 180 8402. The water point is located in the air service room at the end of the service building in the outdoor area. Water is available during opening hours.

Laundry Services

Holiday home residents can take their laundry to Liaton Laundry, Pajukuja 4.

Liaton provides a wide range of laundry services, including carpet cleaning, dry cleaning, bedding and linen laundry, formalwear cleaning and workwear laundry. Services are available to private customers, businesses and organisations in Kuhmo. An affordable collection and delivery service is also available.
