Raftsmen Finnish Championships and Raftsmen camp

The Finnish Raftsmen Championships will be held in Kuhmo on June 27, 2026, where Finland’s champion raftsman will be determined through a variety of traditional competitions. Brave participants will, among other things, complete a raftsmen’s marathon and ride down rapids while balancing on floating logs.

In addition to the competition itself, there will also be other side events, including the official declaration of Kuhmo as Finland’s first log-driving heritage town.

During the same week, a raftsmen’s camp will be organized from June 25–28, welcoming everyone interested in the tradition.
