Jauhovaara

The trail is a total of 5 km long and consists of a 1.5 km upper nature trail marked in red that runs along the ridge top, and a 3.5 km lower trail marked in blue.

The short upper trail features 3.4 hectares of traditional field landscape, a former forest ranger’s cabin, a tree species park (arboretum), and a scenic lookout platform. The longer lower trail leads through marshy landscapes, along boardwalks, past Jauholampi Pond, and includes a lean-to shelter and campfire site.

Along the route, visitors can learn about native tree species and the area’s history. There are also remnants of wartime defensive structures visible along the trail.

Please note: if the rental cabin on-site is occupied, the yard area is reserved for the tenants’ private use. The nature trail is directly accessible from the parking area.
