Saari-Kiekki
Saari-Kiekki – A Peaceful Fishing Spot in Elimyssalo Nature Reserve
Saari-Kiekki is located in the Elimyssalo Nature Reserve and is a quiet fishing destination known for pike and perch. The easiest way to fish here is with a spinning rod. Waterproof footwear is recommended when fishing along the shore.
Due to the area’s low usage, fish are typically large. Fishing is done by moving along the shoreline, but you may also use a float tube, packraft, or kayak. There is no boat available, and there are no marked fishing routes.
An open shelter (laavu) provides basic overnight accommodation with a firewood shed and a dry toilet.
Levälampi Pond
The area also includes Levälampi, a pond surrounded by marshland, home to pike and perch. Moving around the marsh and along the pond requires extreme caution. Be aware of wildlife, including large predators, when exploring the area.
