Lakeside Path Rantaraitti
Until 1937, Kuhmo was known as Kuhmoniemi. The municipality of Kuhmo was granted the status of a town on 1st January 1986.
Kuhmon rantaraitti (The Lakeside Path of Kuhmo) is an about 2 km long walking trail along the shores of Lake Lammasjärvi and the Pajakkajoki River, leading from the Hankaniemi Cape to the Pajakkakoski Rapids.
