By car
From the South, you can reach Kuhmo through Nurmes, along the main road 75 (tourist route “Road of Poem and Border”). You can also reach Kuhmo via Kajaani, taking Highway 5 to Kajaani and then the Eastbound main road 76 to Kuhmo.
