Kieverrys Lakes

Overview
The Kieverrys Lakes Hiking Trail winds around five beautiful wilderness waters: Syrjänlampi, Syvälampi, Juolunkajärvi, Hukkalampi and Porojärvi. The hiking trail is clearly marked, although the fishing spots themselves are not. However, many natural shoreline access points make fishing easy despite some shoreline vegetation.
These lakes are known for their excellent pike and perch fishing. Anglers can expect the chance of catching trophy-sized perch, while pike often strike lures close to the shoreline. The area also offers several excellent locations for jig fishing. Shore fishing is easy throughout the route, although waterproof footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.
Visitors can also launch their own kayak, canoe or small boat from the shore.
The destination is well suited to families, groups and visitors travelling with dogs. It is also an excellent choice for multi-day fishing trips. Overnight stays are possible in a camper van at the parking area, in a tent, or at the Juolungansalmi Lean-to Shelter.
