The cabin’s lighting, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and TV run on solar panel electricity with rechargeable batteries in use. Cooking is done using a small gas stove and a side burner on the gas grill. Heating is provided by a heat-retaining upright stove. Drinking water must be fetched by yourself; the cabin has a water container. The nearest water point is at Nivanvirta, about 5 km away.
