Korpitaival
Korpitaival Summer Hiking Trail
Korpitaival is a new summer hiking route that takes you into the heart of Kuhmo’s wilderness. The trail runs from the Kokkamo–Kylmäjärvi area to the Elimyssalo Nature Reserve, and further on to the Iso-Palonen–Maariansärkät Nature Reserve. The route passes through both multiple-use forests and protected areas. Along Korpitaival, you’ll experience the biodiversity of Kainuu’s forests: ancient spruce mires, open bogs, scenic esker ridges surrounded by waterways, and managed commercial forests.
Korpitaival is perfect for summer hiking. The route is open from May to October. It is marked on-site with blue signs.
