Pajakkakosken välisuvanto (interim pause)
Pajakkakoski Intermediate Pool
Introduction
The intermediate pool area of Pajakkakoski offers versatile fishing opportunities throughout the entire year. Fishing is most successful in spring, summer, and autumn by boat, kayak, packraft, or even using a float tube. In winter, the pool area is an excellent place for ice fishing. Near the shelter (laavu), fishing from the shore is possible; elsewhere, the shores are in a natural state.
The pool is very rich in fish. The main species in this area include perch, pike, zander, ide, roach, bream, whitefish, grayling, and trout.
Licenses and regulations for the pool area
Fishing with one rod is allowed with the state fisheries management fee.
Angling (worm fishing) and ice fishing are free of charge. Shore fishing is permitted with one rod only. Multiple rods from a boat require a shareholder fishing license, which allows a maximum of 8 rods.

Other notes
Accessible fishing: Partially accessible fishing is possible at the shelter shore.
Services on site: An accessible outdoor toilet, shelter (laavu), woodshed, and kayak dock. A small boat can also be launched from the shore.
The pool area is part of a paddling route, so there is plenty of water suitable for kayak fishing. When paddling, be aware of rapid-specific fishing licenses required for certain sections. Otherwise, fishing is allowed with the state fisheries management fee when using one rod.
