Kieverrysjärvet as a Fishing Destination
The Kieverrysjärvet hiking trail runs around five different bodies of water: Syrjänlampi, Syvälampi, Juolunkajärvi, Hukkalampi, and Porojärvi. The trail is marked, and while fishing spots are not specifically indicated, there are naturally formed access points along the shores. Despite some shoreline vegetation, the waters are easily accessible for fishing.
These lakes are rich in pike and perch. You may catch a large perch, and pike often strike near the shoreline. The area also has excellent spots suitable for jig fishing. Fishing from the shore is easy throughout the route.
Recommended gear includes waterproof footwear and weather-appropriate clothing. You can also launch your own kayak or boat at the site.
The destination is very suitable for families with children and groups. It’s also pet-friendly and easy to navigate with a dog. The area is ideal for multi-day trips — the parking area has space for overnight stays in a camper van, or you can camp in a tent. You can also overnight at the Juolungansalmi lean-to shelter.
